Various Lodi Wine Country Locations
Looking for a fun variation of Sunday’s ZinFest Winery Tours & Open Houses? Check out one of these alternative activities, sponsored by some of our favorite local businesses! Please continue to check back as the event week approaches as more activities will be added as they are scheduled. Here’s the lineup for 2017 so far:
Day After ZinFest Cycle with Bike Lodi
Lodi Wine Country | 10:00am | No charge | Limit 15
Join members of Bike Lodi for a wine tasting 21-mile guided ride the day after Zinfest. We will be exploring the roads east of Lodi and visiting 3 charming wineries. At 10:00am we will be taking off from the Clements Fire Department and heading to Bokisch Vineyards. After taking in their amazing views and wine, we’ll head to Heritage Oak Winery. Heritage Oak is a bird watchers’ favorite with a nice trail to the river. From here, we will ride to Durst Winery. At Durst, there will be a food truck with food for purchase and a band for your listening pleasure. After relaxing and refueling, we will start the final leg of our route back to the fire department and your car.
RSVPs to firstname.lastname@example.org are required and there is a maximum capacity of 15 cyclists. Tasting fees will be waved at participating wineries and all wine purchases will be SAGed back to the starting point. There is no charge for this ride but, if you are so inclined, tips and/or donations to Bike Lodi are always appreciated. See you there!
Sunday Pedal, Paddle & Wine
Lodi Wine Country | 10:00am | $89 per person. Price is per person not per boat. Single or two man kayaks are available. | Limit 12
The day will start with a group meetup at Downtown Bicycles at 10:00am to sign paperwork and get fitted to a beach cruiser bike. From there, the group will enjoy a slow-paced ride down Elm St. through old Lodi all the way to Mills Ave. where they will head north to Lodi Lake. Once at the lake, the group will park the bikes at Headwaters Boat House and will then swap bikes for paddles and kayaks. Once everyone has been fitted for a life jacket, the adventure will continue on the water. The group will enjoy an hour-long paddle around Lodi Lake and the sloughs that connect to the Mokelumne River. After the paddle, a boxed lunch from Airport Cafe will be enjoyed lakeside before the group rides back to downtown Lodi to return rental bikes. Once bikes have been returned, the group will take a short walk to Riaza Winery where the Stave Room will be reserved for tasting.
Purchase your ticket by clicking here. There is a maximum capacity of 12 for this tour. In addition to the tour cost, an additional tasting fee applies at Riaza Wines but will be waived with the purchase of wine.
